On upper cabinets handles usually go in the lower corners so they are easy to reach.
One good rule of thumb is to line up a knob with the top of the bottom door rail.
The hardware spacing for the wall cabinets should match the base cabinets.

You ll specifically want to place them anywhere between 1 and 4 from the top or bottom edge of the door.

If you re installing door pulls line up the bottom of the pull with the top of the door rail.

My goal was to center the handles on all the drawers and place them about three inches from the bottom on the cabinet doors.
Then center it horizontally on the door frame.
